LAUNCHED

Dinghy launched in the Whangarei river.
Impressions are that she moves easily, not sensitive to fore and aft trim, and looks great to my eyes!
I have about 360 hours in her, so not a quick build. I once built a SURF in 26hrs painted. They are about the same lenght but this one is 60% larger volume.
Costs are hard to pin down as I had the cedar, glue powder and filler powder. There is 30lt of epoxy tho. and a couple of hundred bucks of cloth. Weight maybe 80kgs?
Now back in workshop for rowlocks and lifting eyes and painting and oiling....

OUTBOARD

Fitted the electric outboard and battery ready for trial launching.
Need to put it in the water to see where she balances with various loadings for the rowlock positions.
maybe tomorrow?

DINGHY HATCHES

Cut the deck hatches for the dinghy and glued combings. The forward one is for the battery for the electric outboard. The two side ones for jolly lifejackets that are getting mandatory, never mind that the dinghy has 4 flotation chambers. I'm staying with the boat mate!

DINGHY SIDE DECKS

The side decks are glued in, together with the aft seat. Hve tried to fall the seats to shed water without being prominant. Ready for glass taping tomorrow.
